Bringing multiple disciplines together to tackle today’s challenges

The Scientific Platforms@UniTo are interdisciplinary groups of researchers designed to combine expertise and knowledge to address concrete innovation challenges with a focused and synergistic approach. Currently, six thematic platforms are active in the fields of aerospace, renewable energy communities, hydrogen, artificial intelligence, sustainable plastics, and water reuse.

AEROSPACE@UniTo – Aerospace

Promotes research and technology transfer in Earth observation, space exploration, and environmental monitoring, fostering collaborations with companies to develop solutions for climate change mitigation and the space economy.

AI@UniTo – Artificial Intelligence

Accelerates the development and application of artificial intelligence, bridging excellent research with market needs and supporting companies in their digital transformation journey.

ET@UniTo - Energy Transition

Promotes research and technology transfer in the context of energy transition, integrating scientific, technical, economic, legal and social expertise for businesses and regions focused on sustainability.

SUSPLAS@UniTo – Sustainable Plastics

Supports innovation in bioplastics, recycling, new materials, and environmental impact, serving as a reference point for companies committed to the circular economy and ecological transition.

WATER_REUSE@UniTo – Water Reuse

Researches and applies technological and regulatory strategies for water recovery and reuse in industrial, agricultural, and urban contexts, promoting partnerships focused on efficient water resource management.
